I recently decided to switch my 2 Cockers from Pedigree Complete to a better food. After much searching I tried a super premium food called Red Mills Leader. My 6 year old male is on Red Mills Leader Lite as he is getting a bit old & is slightly overweight. My 11 month old female is on Red Mills Leader puppy. (When she reaches 12 months I am going to switch her onto Red Mills Leader Adult.) They both enjoy Red Mills Leader - their dishes are always empty. And even my 6 year old, who was a fussy eater, goes to the puppy's dish to see if there is any left over - which there never is! They seem to be full of energy and their coats are good.
To be honest when I decided to switch to a super premium food I was a bit confused. There are so many foods on the market all claiming to be a better quality and all at different prices. Which one do you pick?
I took a chance with Red Mills and so far it has worked out well. One nugget of information I managed to retain through my search for the "right" food is that no one food suits all dogs. In my opinion I would put Red Mills Leader on par with Arden Grange. I compared the ingredients of their Adult products & they seem quite similar. The only difference is Red Mills Leader is cheaper.
