My dog generally has no issues with the food and is doing very well on it. The prices are also the best I've seen. We have been using them every month for the last 2 years. However, the customer service is very poor:
1. When we first tried to place an order we were told we had to wait for 3 months because they could not take on any more customers (fair enough to be honest).
2. They rarely answer the phone during normal working hours. Which makes it difficult to resolve the numerous problems we have with deliveries and invoicing.
3. 80% of deliveries there is always something out of stock. This I understand, but what I don't understand is:
4. Still being charged for the items they have marked themselves on the invoice as out of stock (very difficult to resolve since they don't pick up their phone!)
5. The food is often incorrectly labelled or quite simply the wrong item is supplied. This has been happening with increasing frequency the last 6 months.
6. They are unable to give me a delivery day. They say it will be either Mon or Tue sometime but then they deliver it on Wednesday. They say it will be Wed or Thu but they deliver it Monday. This last time around they delivered the food on the wrong week altogether! It is unreasonable enough that I am expected to have to take 2 days off work to wait for a delivery but an entire week (or each week either side) is just completely unacceptable.
7. The driver no longer gives heads up about when he's delivering. The last time he let me know he was very rude when I very politely thanked him and told him that I wasn't home but to please leave it on the footstep. At least when they gave a phone call I could try to get out of work early and head home to deal with delivery. Now it's anyone's guess not only what time the food will turn up but what week!!
So all in all, the quality of the food and price is good. But the service is so unbelievably poor I will now be paying 20% more to get my food delivered from a company that actually values its customers. It's not something that I can easily afford but dealing with Landywoods has been incredibly stressful.
Reading the reviews, it seems they only value their long term customers (>5 years or more). It's a pity for them because they will be losing some £600/year from this household.

Was told my order would be at my house on Wednesday the 15th (today), so didn't buy excess raw food from pet shop. Had to walk 5 miles to nearest pet shop to get my dog her dinner because they haven't even bothered to tell me where my order is!!!!

I have used Landywoods for over 8 years now. Yes they do make the odd mistake but then we are all human. I have never had anything less than excellent service from Landywood. I would highly recommend them. I have St bernards, German Shepherds and Cavalier spaniels which all do extremely well on Landywoods food!!

I have tried unsuccessfully to place an order with Landywood. I first contacted them on 22 January 2010 requesting product/delivery information which they still have not provided despite several attempts to contact them via their 'Information Request' form on their website (no email address published). My last email was sent on 28 January and I am still waiting for a response (although I have given up now). Just as well my dog wasn't relying on them to deliver his food.

They may call you each month for your order but please do not expect your order to be correct upon delivery. When you let them know thay have made a mistake (3 deliveries on the trot) no attempt to apologise is made infact they are quite ignorant and rude about it. I have to wait for the food to be collected before my money is refunded. I have dealt with this company for over 2 years and feel the customer service is usless and as there are other companies out there such as the dog food company I would not recommend them.In the current climate I would suggest that they remember the 'the customer is king' and that an apology should always be made. I appreciate mistakes are but to not do anything to rectify the mistake is wrong and as such this company has one less customer buying from them every month. Although I dont think they care otherwise they would have tried to retain my custom.

Top quality meat and excellent service. We have used only this supplier and see no reason to change. We have one fit, healthy vibrant dog!

Excellent door to door service, and fantastic value for money. I am a breeder of Dalmatians and tried many before selecting and staying with Landywoods three years ago.

Landywood have been delivering to our door for over six months now. We couldn't be without them. Their prices are by far the best in England and the quality of their products means our dogs are healthy and fit.
